A major Latin American financial institution’s U.S. operation is already under way in its digital transformation journey, modernizing legacy systems and integrating more closely with its global infrastructure. While the platforms evolved, however, the behind-the-scenes developer workflows remained stuck in manual mode.

To take the next step, the firm partnered with GFT Technologies to implement Wynxx, its proprietary GenAI platform built for AI SDLC acceleration. The result was a low-friction, high-impact proof of concept (PoC) that improved engineering productivity inside live banking systems without disrupting existing tools or processes.

1. Wynxx improved development productivity around documentation, testing and code coverage, as validated in a live PoC on the firm’s U.S. infrastructure.
2. The implementation demonstrated Wynxx’s ability to scale across geographies and regulatory environments, building on prior success at the client’s home operations in Brazil.
3. GFT executed a secure, modular deployment of Wynxx that integrated seamlessly with the bank’s existing AI SDLC toolchain.

The firm’s U.S. operations were undergoing rapid modernization, but developer and QA workflows still relied heavily on manual processes. GFT had seen the value Wynxx delivered in their Latin American operations and proposed a PoC to validate its potential in the U.S. as well.

The goal was to improve test coverage, streamline documentation and increase delivery consistency while ensuring compatibility with the firm’s core tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab and Jira. These are common themes in digital transformation in banking, where legacy workflows often hamper innovation.

GFT deployed Wynxx directly into the firm’s U.S. infrastructure and integrated it into an active COS system flow to support automated generation of test cases, technical documentation, and code reviews. The team focused on enabling developers, QAs, and BAs with intelligent assistance at key points in the software development lifecycle AI.

Features used in the PoC included:

• Functional Tester: Boosted automated test generation and coverage
• Code Reviewer and Documenter: Enabled automated code review suggestions, real-time generation of technical documentation, and consistent formatting across developer contributions
• Unit Testing support: Increased consistency of code review automation

The setup was executed by a team  from both GFT and the financial institution, with GFT handling enablement, onboarding and platform integration. The deployment adhered to the firm’s internal governance standards, aligning with its responsible AI in financial services objectives. By embedding these GenAI tools directly into existing workflows, the teams improved collaboration without increasing friction, giving developers and QAs practical, hands-on support in the moments they needed it most.

In just three months, the Wynxx PoC delivered measurable improvements in development productivity:

• Code documentation quality significantly improved, reducing manual effort;
• Test coverage and scenario creation were accelerated across multiple teams; and
• Review cycles became more structured and repeatable.

The team recorded 81% automated documentation, 75% unit test coverage and made significant gains in code review and functional test creation, all measured inside live systems, not simulations. These gains translated directly into the day-to-day developer experience and reduced manual documentation tasks, increased the speed and consistency of test creation and helped squads ship code faster with greater confidence. Based on this success, GFT and the client are now preparing a pilot tied to upcoming delivery initiatives.

The implementation marked a milestone: Wynxx’s first validated rollout across two regions, Brazil and the U.S., proving the platform’s adaptability to global teams and regulatory environments.

With Wynxx, GFT has delivered real engineering value inside a U.S. banking environment with minimal disruption and maximum integration.

The Latin American financial firm is now positioned to scale Wynxx more broadly, joining a growing number of banks that are using AI software delivery platforms to empower their teams and streamline operations.
